"Amen" is a vital part of the sunni religion, rather than Islam. What the origin is for "amen" is another story.

I don't need to defend the use of "amen" itself, since I don't really believe in using the word. It doesn't exist in my holy book (Quran). The only term even close to it in the Quran is ammin, which means "they arrive" (5:2).
