  • r ip mr B --i will never forget mondays at the VILLAGE VANGUARD ,and the mel lewis band recorded with mr B .. i went to some of the rehearsals.. amazing arrangements..we've lost another great one....oh.... man... rhsc nyc

  • Não é por ter chocalho e chic-chic na banda que pode chamar de samba.O baterista perdeu grande chance de dar um ritimo semelhante ao samba, mas sua performance foi totalmente burocrática.Estou exigindo demais?

  • when he stood up i literally thoguht oh and heres ron jeremy with a tenor solo

  • DAMN Mel!

  • Thad wrote this.

  • OH I SO AGREE im a bari player myself and when we get one its all out !

  • I dig it. How often does the bari player get to take a ride? He's got to throw in every idea he's had in the past few months and do something memorable :)

  • What the hell is up with the baritone solo?

    weird...

  • Does anyone know if Joe Lovano had the neck of his Selmer Balanced Action "custom-braced" or were some BA necks constructed like that? I know that was his Dad's tenor. I've just never seen Selmer BA's with a neck like that.

  • This is a Brookmeyer classic! Originally recorded in the 60s!

Brookmeyer his his own way of voicing chords. VERY tight and not always easy to play.
