Two years later and those MiFi are made obsolete by Android phones (e.g. Android gingerbread) as they support tethering "free of charge" (as oppose to Iphones which need to be unlocked to enable tethering with an existing SIM data plan)

exactly thats the only thing i hate too but i heard there was a cmda version well at least in north america the main guy said that and there one for gsm world wide and 1 gsm for just north america

I hate signing up to contracts for USB 3G stick-like things but a contract for that which all my devices can use sounds pretty irresistible...
