To shoot an enemy sub from your sub you select the sub as a target. Once the enemy sub is your main target, your torpedoes will travel at the correct depth.

i dont think there is a remedy for that. what i would probably do is dive a little below the enemy sub and start lobbing off torpedos. when they go twords the surface, theyll smack into the enemy sub. i thin it takes 2 torps to destroy a sub.
