Thank you for posting. Very helpful. And much more suitable than an oily Haynes manual to view how the job's done.

Thank you!

I've just changed my 2003 Mondeo switch following these instructions. Thank you, thank you. Took me less than an hour. Five minutes of that was figuring out how the wires come off. The switch comes apart, the whole black plastic outer slides off. Ten minutes was spent trying to get the thread on the new switch to engage, but I got it eventually. The wire connector then just clicks on. I had to manhandle the air filter somewhat to get it back into the intake nozzle, but you can't hurt it. Jim H.

Thanks for the vid, it saved me a heap of time trying to find where the switch was. I didn't bother removing the battery, I just took off the air filter box and hose and reached in with an 8" adjustable spanner - 10 minute job.
Just don't do what I did and do it while the engine is still hot - ouch!

Sorry kid, but this is complete bunkum --- simply remove the airbox, airflow meter wiring and trunk pipe and use a slim walled 22mm socket with a long 3/8th drive extension & Roberts your fathers brother!

@darrowby1972
Well it worked for me and others so not complete bunkum as you put it, just another way of doing the same thing by the sound of it. You could always take some shots and upload a video if your way is better that would help people.

2004 Mondeo 2.0 Ghia
Just replaced my switch today and it was definitely easier after seeing the images contained in this video to give me an idea of what i was looking at/for.
Was surprised how easy it was overall - had a switch replaced on a previous Mondeo a few years ago and thinking back now to the cost for a dealership to replace it, I won't be doing that again...!!
Thanks, Goatsmilkuk!! :D
