That is a scary *$%-ing road. I've driven across The Hogsback about three or four times over the years. A guy in Escalante told me that, years ago, a woman paid fifty bucks for someone to go and fetch her purse at the cafe in Boulder where she'd forgotten it rather than drive back across The Hogsback again.
The locals -- so I've been told -- think nothing of driving across this section of road 1000't above the canyons on either side, without guardrails and no shoulder.
I was just there... of all my drives over 40 years and tens of thousands of miles, THIS was the most hair raising! Thanks for the video!
