  • Hey what sort of range is the 204 suitable for ? I'm using the HM2 out to 250m on a good day, just looking for something with a little more reach. Either the 204 or a 223.

  • @KiwiShoot as good as you can shoot, Im no sniper but I did manage a one shot hit on a fox at over 500m, I was using the Leupold Varmint reticle lines. You could comfortably shoot out to those distances with the right set up. It makes for an explosive afternoon

  • Nice.. My 22/250 is alot worse though lol! I need bit of advice currently got a 22 lr for rabbits but I need a bit more range.. Max 150-200 yard rabbit gun! Got centre fire license and was thinking something like a 17 Remington or 22 hornet has I do want to keep the meat on some accausions.. Was looking for a 204 but after watching this a waste of time.. Any thoughts??

  • @Tristy1987 I have a 22.250 as well and the 204 with 39gr Blitz Kings just leaves the 22.250 for dead. I would get a 204 for meat hunting as its no trouble taking the head of a rabbit at 250m with a decent scope.

  • what a waste of an animal

  • @321wingnut Better to let them eat the grass I suppose

  • @jamaica05351 where did you pull this crap from 350 meters with a 17hmr i would like to see that. we shoot animals in this country with our fire arms not paper targets in a controlled environment with bench rests. the only rest i find when i'm shooting is my hand or a fence post

  • i also have a .204ruger but use 32gr hornady v-max great for making rabbit stew.

  • 17HMR - you could get out to 350 if there wasn't much wind. Love the catridge, great for varmniting.

.223 is a great all around center-fire. A good shot could get out past 500m.

.204, probably out past 700m. Faster barrel ware, clean often

.20 Practical is a ..223 necked down to a .204 bullet and it gets better ballistics than the .204 ruger if i recall.

Check out the 6mm BR,it has set some 1000 yard records. The BR cartridges give you the distance you desire for whatever calliber paired

  • @KiwiShoot i have both the .204 is better

  • My bro doesnt see the purpose of. 204

  • What Make/Model of camera are you using?

  • great stuffff

  • Great shots!

  • YOU KNOW YOU GUYS ARE ASSHOLES. DO YOU EAT WHAT YOU KILL, YOU GIVE SPORTSMAN A BAD NAME. YOU NEED YOUR ASS KICKED UP AROUND YOUR EARS.

204 ON RABBITS IS OVER KILL. LOOKS LIKE YOUR OUT JUST KILLING.

  • My old man has one of these, quite the little beast. Real good on rabbits, possums, hares etc which are a ass pain here... Nice vid!
