Once upon a time, there was a TV channel called MTV. And on this MTV there was a show called 120 Minutes, where they played videos by less-commercial acts such as the Feelies. That show is what taught me that there was better music out there than what the radio decided was popular, and is largely responsible for turning me into the bitter music snob that I am today. I'm not sure if that's a blessing or a curse. Sometimes I wish I could like the crap other people like, or at least tolerate it.

Lou Reed has written some great songs, personfied a certain cool and is one of the alltime great groundbreaking artists. As for musicianship? Compare "What Goes On" by VU and then

Feelies and I believe you'll get my drift.

The Water reissue was not approved by the band. They have been looking into re-releasing both Only Life and Time for a Witness, but there are legal issues with A&M (or whatever A&M is these days).

You're welcome. A label called Water Records re-issued it, but it doesn't appear to have its own web presence. The one you will find by searching for the label is, oddly enough, ANOTHER label.
