Not really. I mean it's a good book but it's really not the most essential read. This is much better because it explains where the character is where he's been and his supporting cast. Year One just gives you why he became Green Arrow.

well in one of his books i read they said he was given the power to possess any living being by a Hindu god named Rama Krishna

I'm not sure how he got his powers. But I know he openly talks about God in this.
