  • This is super-cool!

One question: Is this ONLY SH-32 or is it in combination with other FX and/or sequencer.

  • @blauphus2 it's only the sh32, no external effects, in the first part the video is sped up, the second part is the original. But adjusting the speed is something you can do within the sh32 as well.

  • : )

  • I have two of these things :) tons of fun... but I wouldnt recommend it as a stand alone. But I like what you have done

  • thanks !

  • No, you don't really need it, you can control the SH-32 with the buttons downunder on the machine itself (transpose for high tones or realy low tones)). But an external midikeyboard can come in handy.

  • @mordsgaudimachen

It was made primarily a stand-alone unit and intentionally designed for live gigging over studio recording, but it works great in the studio too, or wherever you want to exploit its grooves.

Computers are OPTIONAL and NOT required for production but the SH-32 can be midi'd up to a PC/MAC if that how you want to use it.

Mine is NOT hooked to a computer per se, its part of an 8 synth rack/slave midi daisy-chain, all controlled by my studio master midi controller workstation.

  • was it dropped on its head?

  • Roland sh-32 mint condition with original box/manuals on los angeles craigslist

    right now

  • Nice Dirty Beats :D

  • Well, do you use the arpeggiator?

  • i have one of these i have a manual as well but can't figure out how to get it to play back in a continuous way, in other words i want to create backing tracks for live work and need to "loop" the sounds during a live performance i realize i am a non genius with devices, but like the 32, any help would be appreciated a whole bubch, thanks.

  • Press and hold [Legato] and [Exit] buttons, then power up, keep them pressed until the O.S number is displayed. Almost all of them apart from the very early ones are 1.06 anyway, and the update files from the Roland sites don't work. Presumably this is only the case if O.S 1.06 is installed already. You could try to download the files if you need them from the German Roland site ( I haven't tried these files), which is the best Roland site for update downloads anyway.

  • This is Noise right? =)
