It is really ironic. Recently, Japan has been globally criticized for their cruel treatment and slaughter of whale and dolphins, yellowstone buffalo slaughter has went on for 23 years and you hear cricket chirps. "Japan ships crisscross the Antarctic Ocean each winter and kill up to 1000 whales." --Kyung Lah, 2008. Hell, 758 yellowstone buffalo slaughtered, 1,616 in 2007, 1,016 in 2005, 1,084 in 1997... no problem.
Good call. There are actually a little more than 15,000 wild and free in the world. Still, not a lot. I cant imagine how much interbreeding must have occurred to get those original 23 Yellowstone bison to reach 4,000. Probably not too healthy considering that they will never be able to branch out due to population management.
Dont talk about brucelosis unless you understand it........

@eightbore1971 they are ok there are not as many bison as there use to be but they are comeing back slow

They probably had brucelosis and had to be destroyed so that the entire herd doesn't get it..........
