Having tried many Stiltons i must say I prefer the Melton Mowbray variant of Stilton than the Cropwell Bishop or the Colston Bassett.

hand sanitiser, yet they taste with their fingers in the mount, putting the plug back in and touching the cheese.

Seriously, who thought of getting the liquid that you squeeze from an animal, solidify and then make it mouldy.... Who ever thought that would taste nice?

This is THE ONLY Stilton to eat and is officially the best Stilton in the world (having won more awards than any other). Colston Bassett is good but this wins hands down in my book on creaminess, texture and flavour. It is all 100% hand made but just using clean, modern implements - swapping wood for stainless steel which is very sensible I think. We bought a half Stilton direct from Cropwell Bishop and our family managed to get thorough it in a week. Their Shropshire Blue is also equally yummy.

My favourite one is cashel blue, but this looks so appetizing, that give me any blue cheese right now.

Stilton was the first of the "stinky cheeses" I tried, having grown up on Kraft cheddar. I've since tried lots of them, and Stilton is still the best. I actually like Stichelton a bit better, but it's almost impossible to get around here. It's the same cheese as Stilton, but not pasteurized. And since Stilton now has the protected designation, it has to be called something different.
do they taste and plug the hole back? :o

yes it is the best cheese in the world....the best stilton is from colston bassett dairy, 3 miles away from cropwell bishop, as it is truly made the old fashioned way with no metal machines, everything is done by hand and with wooden implements, and this makes the stilton more creamy...yummy yum, lmao
