Hans Lutjen's Happy Spider on the carnival of Goirle.
A total of 16 similar rides are currently traveling the Dutch fairs. 2 more rides are owned by Dutch showmen, but travel in eastern Europe. This makes it the third most common ride on the Dutch fairs, after the Bumper Car and Tropical Trip / Miami.
This type (called Spider) and the smaller Polyp can be found on the small and medium sized fairs, while the more spectacular Monsters can be seen on the bigger fairs. Although the ride is pretty fast, most riders are young children (age 6-12) whether or not accompanied by their parents.
The ride is build in 1982 by the now defunct company FAH (Fair Attractions Holland).
Mijn zus en ik zaten is een keer alleen in de Happy Spider, was op de Tilburgse kermis 2008. Ik hoop dat mijn lievelingsattractie volgend jaar weer in Tilburg staat!
