This video shows that the world's greatest thinkers (Scientists, Leaders, Historians, Physicists etc) had to say about the wisdom found in the ancient Hindu scriptures such as the Vedas.
THE VIDEO is very interesting and includes a video in which the Father of Atomic Bomb, Oppenheimer, quotes a verse from the Bhagavad Gita, whence he was asked about the atomic Bomb.
------------------------------------
Famous Reflections on the Bhagavad Gita
Albert Einstein: When I read the Bhagavad-Gita and reflect about how God created this universe everything else seems so superfluous.
Mahatma Gandhi: When doubts haunt me, when disappointments stare me in the face, and I see not one ray of hope on the horizon, I turn to Bhagavad-gita and find a verse to comfort me; and I immediately begin to smile in the midst of overwhelming sorrow. Those who meditate on the Gita will derive fresh joy and new meanings from it every day.
Henry David Thoreau: In the morning I bathe my intellect in the stupendous and cosmogonal philosophy of the Bhagavad-gita, in comparison with which our modern world and its literature seem puny and trivial.
Dr. Albert Schweitzer: The Bhagavad-Gita has a profound influence on the spirit of mankind by its devotion to God which is manifested by actions.
Carl Jung: The idea that man is like unto an inverted tree seems to have been current in by gone ages. The link with Vedic conceptions is provided by Plato in his Timaeus in which it states..." behold we are not an earthly but a heavenly plant." This correlation can be discerned by what Krishna expresses in chapter 15 of Bhagavad-Gita.
Herman Hesse: The marvel of the Bhagavad-Gita is its truly beautiful revelation of life's wisdom which enables philosophy to blossom into religion.
Ralph Waldo Emerson: I owed a magnificent day to the Bhagavad-gita. It was the first of books; it was as if an empire spoke to us, nothing small or unworthy, but large, serene, consistent, the voice of an old intelligence which in another age and climate had pondered and thus disposed of the same questions which exercise us.
Rudolph Steiner: In order to approach a creation as sublime as the Bhagavad-Gita with full understanding it is necessary to attune our soul to it.

Aldous Huxley: The Bhagavad-Gita is the most systematic statement of spiritual evolution of endowing value to mankind. It is one of the most clear and comprehensive summaries of perennial philosophy ever revealed; hence its enduring value is subject not only to India but to all of humanity.

  • Is it a strong possibility that the Mayan Civilization was very influenced by Vedic thought?

  • Absolutely it is...I know that a lot of people are divided with this opinion but if you ask a religious historian then they would tell you that Vedic religion or the way of life which was inspired through the Vedic scriptures is the most ancient in this world and almost all religions have been inspired by to some or the other extent.

  • awesome video..thank you

  • I agree. If anything it's quite uncool to know what's beatuiful and call it so. Most my age don't even bother. Sadly what will they pass on to the next generation? How to straighten your hair, put on glitter shadow, argue over trivial topics, bravado etc.....But there are those who know and see. So I am happy that the torch moves into their hands...where it's safe.

  • no...you need to research

  • its interesting how the hell did the ancient vedic civilization make the iron pillar!!

its shockign that modern civilization can't unlock the secret to making a iron as pure as the pillar

  • i think thats just it, no one knows and it shows that whilst the west was still deeply asleep in ignorance "even 500 years ago they where still witch hunting and still today there is racial hate" those men 5000 years ago and beyond, lived in a culture far beyond todays understanding, hence its all very mystical fot todays "advanced" men. Everyone should study the vedas with an open mind, especially other religions. To reject something without understanding it, is ignorance.

  • Excellent research !

  • yea the vedas also predicted the timing of solar and lunar eclipses and they are right even in miliseconds!

  • Vedas State that the age of the world is 4.6 billion years old. Actually, the surprising thing is that Vedas also predict the age of Universe pretty closely! Check it out.

  • I was watching the Science channel and an Australian scientist was traveling to India to explore the scientific side of India. The show said that in the Vedas it states the world is 4 billion years old!

  • actualy thats the middle east .northeast afrika...thast where it all started from.
