This is a Qantas ad shown in New Zealand sometime around 1988.

"The ad was filmed Dec 1986. The aircraft in the interior shots was a brand new 747-300 The City of Perth, the exterior shots was The City Of Canberra VH-EBX." -
melbourne57.

"There were two versions of this advert. The Qantas uniform changed during its airing period. The first version showed the Pucci prints which were swapped to the Yves St Laurent uniform shown in this version." - Broocy

The last commercial flight where Qantas used a Boeing 747-300 was on December 29 2008, Melbourne-Auckland-Los Angeles.

Many newer Qantas ads are posted on YouTube by other users, mainly the "I Still Call Australia Home" ads, which may interest some of you.

I moved from Australia to NZ in the 1980's and this ad used to make me quite homesick! It's a pleasure to watch again.

  • Thank you for the information. Additional information has been added to the description.
