Women and Wheels tests the brand new BMW X1 and comes away slightly confused: Makes you feel good driving it, saves you having to go to the gym (thanks to the steering) and looks slightly odd. A car for women?

  • Aha - I think it might be Anders Warming. Warmer, warmer, colder, colder...

  • Thanks for that Stiggy37 - can't find the designer named anywhere (embarrassed?) - do you know who it is? And video title changed, thanks for that as well Carlitos1259

  • Sorry you don't approve Large Hosier. We just thought that the design of the X1 is slightly confused: there's something about the proportions that doesn't quite gel. We came to the conclusion that the bonnet is too long for the cabin, which itself is actually small and the front overhang is too large. Not Chris Bangle's best? We're pretty sure that the X1 won't win any design awards, although it's undoubtedly a capable car. The usual designer's remedy is bigger wheels; witness the 5-series.
