If you have looser curls like Taylor Swift, you can use a regular curling iron like you would on your hair to get curly feathers. But if your curls are tighter than that, there aren't any curling irons to my knowledge that produce curls that tiny. Here's my method for getting tighter curls.

Feather extensions are not my favorite thing ever, but after searching high and low for pictures and video of feathers for curly hair, I decided I'd give it a shot anyway for any curly-heads out there who might be curious. =)

Final note: The lighting in my room sucks bad and gives everything an orangey-yellowy tint. The feathers are more noticeable against my hair than they seem. (Use the photo at 3:32 as an example of what the true color is like.)

  • Or.. Ya knows can curl them with a curling iron

  • @unicornshitify yes, you can. But if you have really tiny curls and you want the feather's curl pattern to match your own hair..there are no curling irons that i know of that make curls that small. Otherwise, the size of the curled feather won't match the size of the natural hair.

  • OMG I never even thought I could wear those until I saw this thank you! NOW I hope I'm not too old to rock these lol I'm 25

  • @cakesinthecity haha. i just turned 23 and i would wear them..but not as an every day thing. maybe for an occasion. depends what your line of work is too!

  • sooo cute :) is that your natural hair? its so pretty, it looks like mine!

  • @simplyykim1 Thank you! And it's not completely natural yet..I am transitioining from permed hair to natural hair. So my perm is growing out and right now, only the top half of my hair is natural. I blend the bottom half by using straws as curlers.

  • her hair is like miner lolz!

  • @Spamitty10 Yes, you will need to curl them again. BUT personally, i don't clamp the extensions on to my hair...i attach them to a bobby pin and then pin them into my hair so that i can easily take them out of my hair before i shower. that way you don't have to curl them every time you want to ware them.

  • This might be a stupid question, but will they stay curly after a shower? Or will you need to curl them each time?

  • @allturnit you're welcome hun! =)
