Voting is now closed. Jaimie has 1,700 votes. Look forward to 4/25 when they reveal the top 5. I haven't seen any entries with more than a handful of votes though.

If you start the project and you need some help, let me know. I'm looking forward to help you out.

Hi, Jaimie. Just wanted to let you (and everyone else) know that you can "like" dockers, vote, then "unlike" dockers, and nothing has changed, except that you have another vote :)
Good luck!

I'm guessing the new mirror got in and he's either cutting some sweet stuff, or his robot rose up and started enslaving the human race with his new-found laser beams.

1,113 votes Jaimie. You're doing good.

For sure jamie!

I don't see why you it's a bad idea to put advertisements on the giant robot.

thank G*d i have a FBaccount with fake name and ~no data.
i assume the vote is still counting (it confirmed voting after all) and it looks good - i looked around, most entries have 3-50 votes. Jamie is heading for 1000.
so chances are not bad - we just have to vote some more ,)

So... no way for people who aren't willing to become Zuckerberg's bitch to find out what this is about?

argh, crapie facebook vote button: Facebook Error
It looks like the Facebook platform is experiencing some issues at the moment. Please try back later. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Facebook need a Giant Robot assap
If you get serious about obtaining grants, you can form a 501(c)3 non profit corporation and seek grants from numerous foundations. The work you do, repurposing "junk" to make living spaces and devices (like the Giant Robot) while living off the grid, is of great educational value. The scale of your achievments is inspirational, and these foundations give away millions for useless crap anyway.

@robertwgardner Hmmm. So like... do you know much about these grants? I haven't tried applying for a fgrant in a long time. I seriously used to get shuffled into the garbage because my plans weren't considered "doable". Maybe now that I've done some, I can get somewhere with some grants.

@JMEMantzel
I've never written/applied for a grant, though I helped form a 501 that considered it. We were a nonprofit purchasing FM radio airtime. We sold advertising on it, and accepted charitable contributions. There are "professional" grant writers who know what they are doing. A slick proposal targeted at specific foundations and programs is a must, along with jumping through hoops to qualify and then documenting all that is involved with verifying your work as you go. You can do it!

@robertwgardner Ugh. So.... basically, I have to turn my back on everything I love in life, and embrace all the things I absolutely despise in our culture. Darnit. Well, at least its an easy decision for me.

I despise adding facebook apps. I've never added a single one. But damn it, I will vote for Jamie every single day until March 15.

@TheMissingno Ya.... I feel the same way. I've never added an "App". Blargh! The walking fortress is something I want to be in my kids world, though. So... I bit the bullet too. :-P
