It's more thinking it's still1995. That stuff stopped progressing after that. Come 1998 they all got into Vnv Nation and haven't gotten past that. 40 year old people going to dirty basements to hear the same song from 1999. But even they're stuck in 1989 with all the post punk.
I had looked forward to hearing what things would sound like with the rise of Dancehall a couple of years ago. But the only stuff that seemed interesting were The Bug and M.I.A.
