As adj0408 points out, this was the most ridiculous rule in the history of F1.
-
this was kimi's fault he flat spotted the tyre but still he should of won the championship that year even just for the suzuka drive he did and the pass at the end
-
He should have been the 2005 champion, but the McLaren didn't help, getting failures all the time.
-
in the maclaren years he lost like 18 races for something that wasent his fault
thats like an season !

@bazil83 championships r won at the finish line no excuses its how u push and know when to stop
-
It was amazing
-
Look at how he misses that BAR Honda by mere inches! Woah. Talk about a near miss.

@adrianpantosin It's not that,His car was very unreliable.People knew that ferrari had a chance to win, but their car was also most unreliable.
Ah yes, the year Max Mosley had the single set of tires per race rule. It almost cost Kimi his life.

Raikkonen was driver of the year in '05. There's no doubt about that, Autosport agrees with that opinion... Whether you're a fan of his or not, you cannot deny he drove better and faster than anyone that year! Without the reliability issues, people would be comparing Raikkonen's 2005 season to Schumacher's 2004 season. Alonso only had a shot at the title because of Raikkonen's misfortune with reliability. '06 is a title Alonso won a bit more on his own merit.
