The synthesized flute solo from Mike Oldfield's Incantation pt 1. The sound originally comes from a Roland SH-2000 but in this clip it's played on a Philicorda organ. The performance isn't flawless but the piece is not very simple to play without any mistakes :)

  • What keyboard is this? sounds great!

  • It's a Philicorda GM 754 organ. I bought it from an old couple who have taken very good care of it. It looks as if it has been hardly used and it is in near mint condition. I especially like the flute sound which is almost identical to the sound Mike Oldfield uses on his first albums.

  • The sound he used is from a Roland SH-2000 synthesizer. I owned a SH-2000 once but sold it again. The only thing missing on the Phili is the possibillity to switch to monophonic. Than I would really get the MO parts correctly. But the SH cannot play polyphonic so that's a downfall as well. Anyway. The Phili is a nice vintage organ with great looks and nice sounds. The best feature is the reverb and vibrato.
