  • Have you tried detonating it? Apparently it's one of the most brisant and easily initiated explosives

  • No I don't have a good place to detonate and any place I could would be so far it would be dangerous to transport.

  • Methyl Nitrate is a secondary explosive, it works best with a primary.

  • Only if you want to detonate it, this however was a deflagration.

  • Is this the result of a nitration of methyl alcohol with nitric acid?

  • this is the result of nitrating methanol with nitric and sulfuric acid.
