Morse code was a method of transmiting textual information as a series of on-off tones that could be directly understood by a skilled listener.

  • Morse code just can't ever be considered as obsolete because it is the method of radio communication that has the greatest range.

It can be understood in very bad condition because it simply is a (kind of) binary code.

  • Morse Code is NOT obselete... This is still the best method of communicating across long distances without much technology... i.e. communicating via flashes of light.

  • used in china alot

  • NOT obsolete and very much in use today. FCC amateur licensing tests did away with testing for it in 2007.

  • @A2235774331337 And the best method to cheat on tests (you don't use a special telegraph thingy, you just use a pencil)

  • Кто ж пальцем-то по ключу давит... :-(

  • @terrinakamura Morse code is still used alot its just not used professionally = Tune onto any radio amateur frequency..

  • Some of these items still seem to be in use, but I do wonder about Morse Code

  • eu pensei que essa tecnologia deixou de ser obsoleta na época da segunda guerra mundial o.O

  • Still used widely in aviation although now a days you don't normally listen to it yourself a computer deciphers it.
