aaron hall was one of the best in the late 80s and early 90s r.kelly came alone and stole his look the bald head and the way he dress but their style of singing comes from charlie wilson back then now aaron has lost that wonderful voice but r.kelly still has his

@strauqq1 JUST like the record, maybe even better. you could say that about probably all of the artists back then..just now thinking....you know whats sad? that these days we actually have to be surprised when someone sounds the same as the record when they perform live. that should be expected like it used to be...thats why i LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVEEEEE old school music

@RAWKEE exactly, because r kelly was inspired by aaron. just like aaron sounds like charlie wilson he was inspired by charlie (and maybe they all just ended up sounding like each other too lol)

I wouldn't say it went down the drain, I've heard some of his performances in Cali from this year, and he sounded good (better than the little i saw from that bet thing)...probably just didn't catch him on his best day

Not to mention all that yelling isn't good for your voice, that's why I always thought he was over-doing it a little in this performance.
