Kinetic Light Drum Circle - Brite Winter Cleveland

Happy winterized folk in Cleveland came down to the Flats for the 2011 Brite Winter Festival and discovered the light drums. Impromptu rythmes began and transformed with discovery and exploration of these orgional human powered light instruments. Vibrations from the polycarbonate drum heads are converted into LED light by a speaker transducer. These drums affirm our power and ability to guide civic development towards a culturally vibrant and sustainable future.

Future versions of the drums will be larger and more permanent with the generous support from Kenyon College in Gambier Ohio.
