Not every moment of the episodes is the hunger strikes; some news coverage is also IRA bomb attacks, riots in Belfast Derry/Londonderry and other Northern Irelands towns, 1981 Northern Ireland Elections, the hunger strikers funerals, etc...

  • paisley,,was able to lead young loyalist men up the hill to kill while he ran back down the other side and claim he is a so called man of god?I mean god does not preach hate or bigotry,,not matter what faith u are,,,this man is the best recruitment agent the IRA ever had,,,and after all the deaths he caused he still sat down and has finally agreed that maj rule ,,which will in due course lead to a free (for all) and united ireland......

  • that fucker should have been set on fire a long time ago

  • no wonder people were killed.

  • @mickupthecelts2k9 The average Brit does not want your Irish air.

And it is 'here' not 'hear'.

  • Here we are in 2010, powersharing working together, within a federal united Europe going forward for once. Irish Republic is bankrupt why do people keep harking on about medieval state where Irish children didnt even have shoes on there feet'??

  • I cannot wait for the day when I can walk out my door and breath free Irish air which the Brits will no longer own and it will be hear soon

  • The most disgraceful protestant ever to breathe air in Northern Ireland

  • Would you pair catch yourselves on.

  • I see little relevance in any of the political parties of all Ireland, North and South, the fundamentals by which Connolly principled a fight for a United Republic of Ireland, was a Socialist Republic of Ireland, whereby the tenets of socialism be regarded and implemented so that the worker has the rights of the land developer. The SDLP and SF claim to have socialist agenda, but I see nothing socialist about them. Only a true socialist party for the right of all people in Ireland could be lauded

  • I hear what you say. I do feel, though, that, for there to be unity, in the south not only will religion have to be separated from State, but it will have to be seen to be and believed to be. And there are those in the north who will keep wanting to perpetuate the fears

As a separate issue, how do you see SF's place in a united political map ? Would their "relevance" expire with unity, as focus switches to their policies, or do you think they would still be a big force ?
