I would contrast controlling tics to trying to breath normal after holding your breath.

How the hell do you read if your eyes do that?

Very good question, and one I've asked myself many times. For a long time, I just had to set the book down until I was done ticcing. But now, because I have the Kindle, I just have to use my ears while my eyes are ticcing. The Kindle reads the book to me. And when I'm not ticcing, I still have it read and I just read along.

I have a very similar tic to that Brian. I tried for years to control my tics and hide from the fact that that I probably had TS (til I was diagnosed 22 months ago); it has given me some very painful problems, mainly with my neck, where I have given myself a prolapsed disc through trying to control my head nodding and neck stretching. Thanks for the tip on the book reading thing...!!!

You're most welcome. My tics have changed now. It's like changing from a caterpillar to a butterfly, except I'm the kind of butterfly that punches random things and says "huh" a lot. haha. I'm working on figuring out how to fix those. When I figure that out, I'll certain make a vid about it. Thanks for the comment.

Get a squishy ball!!!! It's a best friend for coping :)

That is a great suggestion, Shayn. Perhaps I should start a list in the description box of ways to control tics. I might give this one a try if my tics get any worse. Thanks for the post!
