u can upgrade the wireless card from there.. i did on mine... from 1030 centrino to 6230n advanced centrino wireless card....

Ive got one with the 9 cell battery and it easily gets through a full day of work and net surfing. Great upgrade and well worth the money, just one word of advice to anyone who gets the laptop: Get the 4gb of ram and upgrade to 8 when you get it (don't pay dells price!) If you only run on 4gb of ram you will have problems with audio glitches.

@Drinkyoghurt Yeah, very true. It wouldn't work out for me though since I opted for the Blu Ray Drive to watch all my Blu rays on the go, but if others are willing to sacrifice their disc drives, they could essentially have 2 hdd caddys. Good tip!

@kriios You can add a HDD caddy. It will replace your DVD reader/writer, but who uses DVD's these days?

@bhoot619 got gen2 is way cooler, ocd gpu at stress runs about 79C processor about 65too.

@MrPantshirt I'm not sure, but I would imagine so. Check the online Dell XPS 15 L501(2)x Manual. They have a ton of information about self-upgrades you can make to your HDD and similar components.
