A "kludge" is a hastily-built attachment or contraption that invariably involves duct tape and alcohol.
That said, blimps are the perfect vehicle to kludge things on. Their lift, maneuverability, size and stability means that pretty much anything you can think of has been hoisted by one. Including planes, mobile homes(no kidding!), nukes, boats, etc...

What actually caused the heli to crash.. I mean, i know he shouldnt have been pulling a boat, and the NTSB would surely say pilot error, but what do any of you pilots out there think went on in the cockpit? Did he overcorrect or was there an LTE involved, or maybe something to do with ground effect combined with the tug on the rope? IDK
Please advise.. . over,

I like your comment about blimps, and I agree.. but what does "blimp-kludge" mean? Sorry, sometimes i am a little slow. I hope I dont feel too stupid when I get your reply.

Something tells me the Helicopter wasn't rated for this.
This is why I prefer blimps. Way cheaper than a million-dollar helicopter and you can just attach whatever the hell you want to it. Planes, radar arrays, boats, skydivers, giant rainforest observation decks, all have been successfully hoisted aloft by the venerable blimp-kludge.
