depends where you are swimming as Taupo is a Volcanic Caldera. If you swim near the vents then you're looking at around 40 to 900 degrees depending on how deep into the sand ya go lol! To be honest the Iron man is done around March. So our summer ... temperature is about 20 - 22 degrees.
