I had some brocolli sitting in the fridge that would go bad if I didn't eat them. What better use of the brocolli than trying in a vegetable pakora, a recipe from Youtube user ManjulasKitchen. Manjula's recipe call for a combination of Graham flour and rice flour but I was too lazy to go the store and used what I had on hand, whole wheat flour and, if I may say so myself, it turned out great. The flour batter locks in the juices and when one of these appetizers is bitten into it unleashes a burst of tenderness. The green chiles in the recipe is rather mild and enlivens the dish. I imagine these would be great with any Indian dip like a chutney or tamarind sauce; for expediency I dipped mine in a dallop of yogurt and a dash of mustard. This is a great way to get a child or even an adult to eat vegetables. Be sure to cook it in a natural vegetable oil, like canola oil, which is actually good for the heart.

  • Canola oil is a manmade oil!! There is NO Canola plant///this oil is genetically modified from the Rapeseed plant!! Companies make it because it is so cheap..they lie to us and say its healthier so they can make $!!! You must do your own research!!!
