At the foot of the High Street in Glasgow's East End there lies a disused carpet shop in which has been found the last remnants of the barn in which 'the jiggers' - a radical group whose faith was at odds with the crown - were gathered together and put to the sword. John tells the tale of this shameful event in Scottish history and introduces the words 'jiggies' and 'jiggert'.
