3801, our icon of steam is being hauled by 4520 Diesel to her new home for major work to be carried out. A new boiler is needed for the locomotive as the one that has been used is too badly worn to be steamed again. This video shows the train slowly heading through Picton station NSW at 1136pm on the 12 May 2009. The video was taken by a good mate, and a fellow gunzel. I am across on the other platform........
That is a really sad video to watch. It is such a beautiful engine but to see it in that state is quite disturbing. :(

Clown watcher indeed. You have NO idea what you are talking about little boy. No RTM, no 3801. It really is as simple as that . Learn some history starting form say 1966. Then come back and apologise to the adults.

History records that it was the Hunter Valley Training Company that restored 3801 in the eraly 1980's, NOT the RTM. The 3801 wreck was towed from Thirlmere to the former State Dockyard in Newcastle NSW for this work with HVTC apprentices being supervised on this big job. With respect, get an education before posting such innacurate comments. How do I know? I was there. Cheers

This comment has received too many negative votes show
Unbelievable. How disgusting to see the shape 3801 is now in, now that it's no longer cared for by 3801 Limited. Shame on the RTM and their selfish fight to get control of this engine. What a disgrace.
