  • my brother is there .

    for 2009 , team black !

  • Who are you fighting on Oct event?

  • yeah it is, USMF puts on shows here in the bay area with fairtex. ive fought on 2 of theyre shows and love. next one is in october and im glad im matched up on that one again.

  • This is great! I think this is a United States Muaythai Federation National Muaythai Team video. They also sanction fights in the Bay Area.

  • like you said, k1 does it, but then again, theyre pros. these are amateurs. and to say that this isnt muay thai is rediculous anyways. youre not going to see any amateur muay thai tournament of this size using no protection. and those pros are getting paid for it, these people arent. they do it for the recognition.

  • thats not true the K1 has tournaments all the time which make the fighters fight 3 fights in one night with no protection. Several of my friends fought in tournaments without protection and had 3 fights in one night as well. Its not easy but they would never wear pads if they were to be taken seriously.

  • the kings cup is a huge tournament where you can have between 4-6 fights in your weight class. if you didnt wear pads at all, you wouldnt physically make it into your 3rd or 4th fight. i train at AKA in san jose and have had many team mates fight at the kings cup and they tell me its veeeerry hard on the body to have so many fights in such a short period of time.

  • I've never seen Muay Thai with pads in Thailand not even with the 5 year old kids. They maybe didn't have medical insurance? :)

  • Good work team USA...One World-One MuayThai
