I wonder why the creative ones among us seem to lean over the cliff, looking down fearfully? That way of thinking is not good,, but,, in this life we're aware of the fact that we have an end, some can't handle knowing it,, in advance! NOTHING wrong with Amy at all! She had the right to feel melancholy, there's MUCH to feel sad about in life,, especially when so many act so cruelly & hurt others, even though they must also inevitably pay for it in the end! God rest her soul!

Withdrawals from Alcohol and Xanax are more dangerous than pain pills, heroine, and any other physically addicting drugs. People would die when they quit, and back in the day, there wasn't the knowledge or facilities for detoxing safely like there are today. Her doctor was concerned about her determination to stop drinking cold turkey, and if she was already weak, there's no excuse for him not to have put her in a detox facility. Two weeks to treat the dangerous withdrawal phase. :( RIP Amy
