@youpon1000 Stalin was a communist, Stalin hated fascism and the idea of corporatism. You might be mixing fascism with totalitarianism. One is an ideology and the other is a style of exercising power. Do you mean he wasn't a true proletarian in the original philosophical sense that Marx was thinking of? I would agree that Stalin was more of an autocrat subordinating state socialism to his own dictatorship, than a true communist.
