Kia Soul does Laguna Seca

The 2010 Kia Soul doing the most unlikely of activities: running a hot lap around Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. We were unable to find a hamster to drive it, so editor Ryan Douthit took to the wheel, instead.

The track requirement was to have windows down during lapping. We didn't have the proper equipment with us to correct for the buffeting.

why would u bring this car out there stock and act like its slow when its not made for speed? it could be a pretty quick car with some work done but u guys are acting like it was designed for speed when its kind of just a car to cruise around in with your friends and look cool and be comfortable

This car wasn't really built for speed though. It's an econ car, it competes with the Scion xB and that joke of a Nissan Cube. For What the Kia Soul is, it does a great job and excels at what it is meant to do. If they really wanted to make this vehicle powerful they would have added a turbocharged Theta engine.

Add a strut bar, springs, lightweight wheels, a driver.

Remove the premium audio, hell take a + model not the sport.

And ROLL those WINDOWS UP!
