It was a day of coincidences when Angus travelled to Perthshire to deliver the Street Prize to this weeks luck winner!
Ashley Craik won with her postcode PH1 3FT but was working in the Old Tudor Café in Auchterarder so Angus made the short trip down the road to surprise her in the workplace. And heres the coincidence Angus and the Peoples Postcode Lottery team were in the café for a cup of coffee just a few months ago when delivering a street prize to Auchterarder!
The staff and customers at the Old Tudor were taken aback to see Angus step through the door, and Ashley quickly realised that she was in for a special prize. Sitting down at a table, Ashley was soon on the receiving end of an amazing £25,000 cheque.
An emotional Ashley was clearly over the moon with such a large amount, saying: I really cant believe this. My family gave me some money to set up a nursery, which was my dream. This means I can give them some back.
Ill also take my son on a holiday. We only signed up when you guys were in here for the Auchterarder and didnt expect to win anything, especially so soon!
Now, who wants lunch on the house? she joked as her colleagues and the customers gave her a round of applause.
With it being the last draw of the month, the winning didnt stop with Ashley. Angus was soon using the next winners prize to travel to her address a brand new Mini.
Catherine Comrie opened the door to Angus brandishing the keys to her new set of wheels and couldnt believe that shed won this brilliant prize.
Oh my gosh, I cant believe this, she said with a huge smile on her face. The car on our drive is technically my husbands, so hell be glad that I have this now! I think I must dreaming, its beautiful!
With that, Angus work in Perthshire was complete and he was satisfied that not only did he leave behind two great winners but also proved that old adage wrong there is such a thing as a free lunch!
