O_O MAJOR PAWNAGE i wander what would happen if the opened that kind of whoop ass on the wraith and the fact that this was built from earth tec that means we could rule the entier universe doesnt matter who stood in our way nothing could stop us >:D
Apologies, 230 gt was my original calculation 9 months ago. I've since recalculated it to around 800 gigatons. My original calcs used a nuclear weapon effect calculator and used 100 miles as the radius of heavy destruction, however, it would actually be more, since I believe it was said the device would destroy everything within 100 miles.
Depends, I'm not sure if they said the nukes were MK VI or MK IX. If they were Mark IXs, then each nuke is 230 gigatons, making the Horizon's total yield more than 1 teraton, IE: enough to wipe out a continent
All we see is a small fraction of it, roughly a single continent (perhaps North America or Asia in it's size) - Stargate Nukes of the type onboard Horizon destroy everything in a 100 KM area.

@CobaltX07 Where did this number come from? I hear before it was actually in excess of 300 gigatons.

That planet was at least 3x the size of Earth. Most likely more

If that was to detonate on Earth, it would be the end of life as we know it, 230 gigatons of nuke is enough to wipe out several cities at once.
