  • What`s the diference between this one and the Aria SB-CB 4-String ?

  • @bemolable - The SB-CB is a "budget" version of an SB1000. I haven't played one so I can't give you an opinion. I would love to review one!

  • @CamoteMaster not this one, it was a Black N Gold and an Alembic spoiler. Look for the Aria SB-CB it's practically the same Black N Gold but with cheaper material.

  • @Dalmonius No, cliff played the SB ELITE I, and this one is the SB 1000

  • Good Review, loved it, and love the sound! Haha Liking the dog to :)

  • John Taylor bass yeaa

  • Thanks for posting this. Never got the chance to play an SB-1000 but it sounds quite versatile and judging by your description of the neck profile I'm on the lookout now for one.

  • my favouirte bass of all time as played by JT

  • I owned the SB-600 which is the passive version of this bass, it was a real ship anchor. But boy did it have TONE.

  • @JimmyCheesenip It's a little heavy, but that's not really that important. A lot of the things that are true about the SB-1000 are true about the SB-CB as well, the response for harmonics is fantastic, and the sustain on them equally so, tapping also works great and the low-pass filter lets any sort of passage-whether it's a bassline or tapped melody-cut through most mixes. The only drawback I really have is that without a bridge pickup it's a little tricky to get a really good slap tone.

  • @zumazmusic I own an SB-CB, it may be more of a "budget" model than the SB-1000, but the SB-CB is a fantastic instrument. It's an extremely dynamic bass, there's a massive variety of tone you can access simply by moving your playing position from the bridge to the neck. There's a huge variety of tone available with the low-pass filter, which is a genius feature. I think they have the same pickup. The neckthru design and that headstock provide a neverending sustain.

  • Hi, I have a Aria SB-five strings, i want to know what strings do you use. i'm from Chile, thanks
