From The Greatest Hits Of Alexander O'Neal (1992) Vinyl
Epic Records
After his departure from The Time, Alex formed his own rock 'n' roll band under an independent label. He was later signed to Tabu Records and released his debut self-titled album in 1985. He teamed up with his ex-Time members Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis who produced all of his solo work. This single went to #62 and #96 in the US and UK respectively. Despite only gaining modest success in chart terms, Alex remains immensely popular in the UK, and this greatest hits release went as high as #4 in 1993. As Vaughn Harper says in GTA IV "It's Alexander O'Neal...Criticize...an R & B, favourite"
