Looks like a lens flare on the camera. This happens if its a film camera(don't think digitals do this), then the flash actually burned film before the explosion shows because it reflected inside the camera case, catching some of the film that was recorded a split second ahead of time as it moved away. That's the only explanation i could think of, but I have heard of this happening before on arc flashes and nuclear test footage.
