amazing.

I am sorry, but I think that who has made the translation has lost a lot the humor that Lorenzo Da Ponte has put in the book.

The singing was wonderful but it was all a bit sugarry. Whether that was an acting choice or the translation, I prefer a bit of desire that seems inherent in the Italian. "Tocca mi qua qua" -"touch me here, here" is sung 5 times in a row! How can you NOT play that with a hint of sexuality??

Thank you so much for posting this! I have never heard this aria performed in English, only in Italian. The meaning behind this song makes even more sense to me now and I feel like I will be able to sing this song the next time around with even more confidence. So, again, I thank you!

wonderful voice! perfect for an English Zerlina, although I don't REALLY like the idea of translating DG. But still, it's moving :)

What a lovely scene--nicely directed, nicely performed.

Acting is lovely. English lyrics (complete, lyrics + aria) would be welcome. Thx for upload.

Really lovely! What company is this? Do they do all their productions in English?

It's Tacoma Opera, (Washington state, US), and shortly after this season, they started performing in original language with supertitles. Most people seem to like it better, and it's easier to get performers. But this was fun and the audience seemed to enjoy! Thanks!
