Escellent Obama won! I bought Wright's book of sermons and knew that he was a good teacher. I am glad this country saw beyond the smoke screens.

You obviously lack did not listen to the speech that he made at the NPC. He gave a history of the role of the black church in America. The theme was hope for change and transformation. I will say that it was a bit cerebral and nuanced for the average American. I do not think that many understood it and if they did, they would have never reacted the way they did.

Rev. Wright did change over the years and his "performance" at the National Press Club on Monday, 4/28/08 was a polar opposite from this Audacity of Hope sermon. At the press club he didn't talk about hope at all. We need to look at people as having both great strengths and great weaknesses rather than the simple one or the other labels the media tags people with. Obama was right to say that Rev. Wright is not acting like the person he met 20 years ago.

Do people know that this is Rev. Jeremiah's Wright's sermon that inspired Obama and the title of his book!?
This should be made clear and the word should be spread.

It's disgusting to me that someone would post a comment like this after watching this video.
Unfortunately the media is not convicted enough to share this sermon to the world as they were to promote the distorted sermon last month. God bless Pastor Wright and the Trinity family. We must continue to pray...

When historians look back at what inspired Obama to summon the hope for both his candidacy and for our nation, they will turn to this sermon by Rev. Wright. While Rev. Wright has his own blind spots, he also displayed deep spiritual insights.
