The video footage is showcasing France 1939, the war has begun and the French troops are massing on its western frontier preparing to repel the inevitable German invasion.
However France does have diplomatic options to strengthen its defences. Buying production licences can allow the French army access to better equipment or perhaps transfer troops to allied command for joint operations could improve the position. Diplomacy is just another continuation of politics.

Hearts of Iron III is now the Beta stage of development. These last months has seen the team stabilizing the foundations of the AI, tightening up the rules and mechanics of the game, along with implementing brand new artwork and interface features.
With the Beta crew now in place the testing has already started and Hearts of Iron III is scheduled for release during the latter half of 2009.

The third instalment in the critically acclaimed World War II strategy series, Hearts of Iron III will feature a plethora of brand new features to satisfy veteran and novice players alike, including a huge game map with more than 14,000 land and sea provinces.
Hearts of Iron III is scheduled for release in Q3.

  • This has nothing to do with my country. I'm talking about realism. Various other flaws (the Balkan region, Belgium etc) have already been pointed out. Most likely the last time you've seen an actual map was back at high school, but there are people who love the game exactly because of the realistic approach, the historical accuracy, the leaders, the research groups and also the map. Fixing the aforementioned flaws is a simple task which by any means doesn't ruin the other parts of the game.

  • MASSIVE DONGS

  • @imdeadindeed Men Of War was the worst RTS I have played in years. Heart Of Iron is a much more realistic and historical game. Though they are two different types of games for the most part.

  • Can u change the look of units?

  • Guys if you want to make your nation mighty in this game, go through the maps. Go and 2History" and find your nation. Examine allt he information avaible to you and you will understand.

After some days i learned how to play this and wanted to make Persia mighty again. So i changed some files, gave some more resources to my self and tadaa. Persia became one of teh "Majors" :D
