After running so fast in the previous video, Cara deserved a special treat. I gave her a flower from a trumpet creeper plant (Campsis radicans), which she devoured with pleasure.

While these tortoises seem to love these flowers, we do not normally use them as fodder, because it's not clear how suitable they are. Also, do NOT confuse Campsis radicans with the Angel's Trumpet (Brugmansia), that plant is highly poisonous to humans and animals!

  • @mondiablue Are you sure you have read the video description? This is trumpet creeper and to the best of my knowledge it is NOT poisonous for tortoises. But if you have proof to the contrary, I'd like to hear it.

    Yes, Brugmansia are poisonous, but this is Campsis radicans. And this tortoise is a "she". ;)
