Cyndi, I made this recording for you to give you a glimpse of the passion I have for singing. True Colors means one thing to me: Everyone Belongs.
I want to make a choir for you, the first Soulforce Spirit Choir made up of gay and straight teens who already get it- Everyone Belongs. This is the song I want to teach them. Matt, I am also a choir singer. Well, at least I used to be. I still like to perform from time to time in karaoke bars and around my coworkers because they don't really have the choice... Anyway, I know what you mean about how singing can change you. A day does not go by that I don't reflect back on my days in choir. It was one of the few joys that I had, and in fact, contacted my choir teachers recently. It was nice to tell them how much I think about them every single day 30 years later.

p.s. also was in the choir at MCC/Toronto - gave it up because of the warped victorian sinner needing redemption rhetoric. There were many times when it was uplifting as well.
