I got a chance to go to a small, private performance by Tori AMos today thanks to DaveFM in Atlanta.

The video is kind of bad because the light was very low, but you can hear her talk about her forthcoming Christmas CD.

  • @JessicaClark oops thumbed it down by mistake.

  • I met her mom the other day who told me about this album. I'm gonna have to get it.

  • Only time will tell just what Tori's Yuletime Cavalcade of Whimsy has to offer, good or bad. But to the doubters out there, some truly great albums have been Christmas records...check out Over the Rhine's Snow Angels or those of Loreena McKennitt.....magical.

  • Father Lucifer would be a nice song for the xxx-mas cd. Its delicate and then...shocking.I sometimes find myself selectively d.j.-ing for who ever is around me,especially with Tori's music.Stay close to the stereo or you will cause certain wonder about your music selections. Most of the time i dont care ,but for a few people i can't throw caution to the wind when jamming out.Just like when old ladies or kids are around. Its polite not to offend everyone in earshot. This is the opposite of rappers.

  • I'm really hoping she can pull this off, but I'm sort of worried that this will go downhill fast. Please prove me wrong, Tori!

  • She just said it was a solstice album, and Doug doesn't want "normal." Sorry, i just saw her live two incredible times and judging by the intensity of the performance and the synergy with the crowd Tori's legend will continue full force. So get off the cross we need the wood.

  • Very exciting!

  • glad to hear that comment at the end about playing it from top to tail. i remember playing New Age in the car once while my mom was listening and she was like what the heck is that?
