The Meridian UAV is a new class of aircraft being developed by KU faculty, students and staff through the NSF Center for Remote Sensing of Ice Sheets, headquartered at KU. Aerospace Engineering Professor Richard Hale, who leads the team developing these specialized aircraft, talks about the importance of this effort to the centers mission, to students and to the state economy.
