I think it's because the water absorbs the vibrations and cushions and supports the glass, preventing it from breaking.

Tried it, It worked but not well. Left really jagged edges and didnt cut straight however fractured way less then if i would have tried outside the water.

this is impossible i work at a glass factory and that would have def. broke the only thing that can cut glass is a glass cutter or a high pressure water jet that was probably plastic

@tfhackett maby one will bite them and thayl change thayer mind.
